Work package 4
Introduction
Our research centres on active engagement with communities and the public, co-production with partner organisations in civil society, and collaboration with policymakers and health agencies. Co-lead by The SAMRC/Wits Centre for Health Economics and Decision Science (PRICELESS SA) in South Africa and the University of Edinburgh the team will draw on strong track records of community engagement and research collaboration with partners beyond academia to:
- Engage citizens, communities and advocacy organisations in monitoring corporate political activity and the CDoH via a crowdsourcing initiative.
- Explore implications of the power of UCIs in SSA for equity, human rights and decolonisation.
- Use participatory research methods to assess stakeholder support and priorities for regulating the CDoH and promoting policy coherence.
